The Challenge.
Vodafone wanted to move their home broadband marketing away from a cluttered and inconsistent visual style, and reposition it as a premium lifestyle product.
The Thinking.
I wanted to create a fresh look & feel inspired by a lifestyle or interior design magazine instead of a broadband provider. Attention needed to be paid to colour, texture, shape and position of objects, such as placing objects out of frame to give a sense of space beyond the image crop.
My aim was to composite the scene so Vodafone's router could sit centrally without dominating or looking out of place. Using a modern shelf as the key design feature meant I could situate the router alongside products from Amazon and Apple, thereby positioning Vodafone broadband as an integral part of any home entertainment bundle.
